NJDEP’s April 8 announcement included brown trout supplied by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. That is the source to start with when researching New Jersey’s 2026 brown trout stocking.

Keep the species label attached to the record
Some public records say only “trout.” When that is all the source provides, our guide keeps that broader description. Look for a species-specific entry before choosing a trip around brown trout.
