Reservoir bass and an evening bite
Local shop reports describe smallmouth activity at Monksville, Greenwood, and Split Rock. At Lake Hopatcong, Dow’s points to evening walleye and hybrid fishing.
The published report places bass near deeper timber at Manasquan Reservoir, with crappie above it. Local pond reports mention evening panfish activity.
The Cape May shop reports evening catfish at Ponderlodge and some early bass activity. These are dated angler reports, so check conditions again before leaving.
